With a host of Veteran practitioners under one roof, the Healing our Heritage Symposium is bound to be a divine collaboration of magic, history, ancestry, and love.
🌿 What is Hoodoo? Hoodoo is an African diasporic ethnoreligion and spiritual practice borne from the survivors of the Middle Passage who landed in Turtle Island /and/ their descendants. It is a closed tradition, deeply rooted in relationship to Creator, spirit, nature, and ancestral veneration. Hoodoo is a practice of liberation from white supremacy, it is a place of refuge for Blackness, it is a way of life beyond survival encompassing plant medicine, conjure, root work, divination, oral tradition, literature, dance, music, food and all other pieces of a rich and deep culture.
